About Us

iSMART consortium was established on July 2006. iSMART objectives is to develop solutions for next generation DSL, based on Dynamic Spectrum Management technology. This includes algorithms, architecture, protocols and building blocks allowing the integration with various communication networks. The solutions and tools will allow to highly extending the reach and rate of the access network, while using existing copper infrastructure.

The consortium consists of leading industrial companies and academic research groups from Israeli academic institutes.

The consortium is supported by the Magnet Program of the Israeli Chief Scientist, Ministry of Trade and Industry.

The Magnet program supports R&D projects for development of generic technologies with strong economical potential and impact.
